Membership and Subgroups

The LSCB has an independent chair, Nick Georgiou, who provides an independent perspective, challenge and support.

The Board consists of senior representatives of all the key organisations working together to safeguard children and young people, including: Slough Borough Council, Slough Children’s Services Trust, schools, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Thames Valley Police, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, South Central Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust, Slough Council for Voluntary Services, HealthWatch and Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust and Youth Offending Team.

Members of Slough LSCB are senior individuals within their organisation. They have a strategic role relating to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The LSCB has five subgroups that are responsible for carrying out the work of the LSCB:

The LSCB works closely with other partnerships in Slough and with the other LSCBs across Berkshire.

Pan Berkshire Subgroups

The Slough Safeguarding People Protocol aims to ensure that there is clarity around the roles and responsibilities of the Partnerships and Boards who are working to safeguard children, young people and adults at risk of abuse in Slough.
