Priorities, plans and reports
The Board has a duty to publish a Strategic Plan which outlines what it aims to achieve in the next three years. The Board's objectives for 2017-18 are:
- Improve identification of risk to the individual and management of that risk.
- Ensure effective safeguarding practice when working with people who self neglect/hoard.
- Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
- Making safeguarding personal and outcome focused.
- Board effectiveness.

The Board also has a duty to publish an annual report detailing what the Board and its members have done during the year to implement its objectives.
