East Berkshire Safeguarding Adults Workforce Development Strategy

In line with national guidance, East Berkshire Authorities offer three levels of training that correspond with job roles and accountabilities and the safeguarding adults process. Each training level has related competencies. Following attendance at training, attendees will be expected to demonstrate these competencies within their work role.

Safeguarding Adults Level One Training is essential training for all health and social care staff.

The Safeguarding Adults Board highly recommends level one training to all employees who may have contact with someone who is in receipt, or may be eligible for, community or health care services.

The Strategy advocates that training is made available to and specifically tailored to the needs of service users and carers.
